This flash documents the status of the IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty Repository that is accessed by WebSphere Liberty's installUtility during installation and upgrade of Liberty features.

This flash contains status information regarding issues (downtime or expected service windows) for the IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty Repository accessed by WebSphere Liberty's installUtility command during installation and upgrade of Liberty features.
IBM will update this page to reflect the current status of the Liberty Repository - inaccessible (offline) or accessible (online), as well as reporting any pertinent information with respect to the current status.
We work to bring the repository access online as a critical priority.

| 14th December | Online | Backend systems are under heavy load causing intermittent connection problems - Updates have been made and this problem has improved now |
| 25th December | Online | The backend is quite slow resulting in some timeouts....team have been investigating. The team have made some fixes and we hope this should be better now |

Alternatives
When the Liberty Repository is unavailable, the Maven Repository can be used to install Liberty Features using featureUtility.

You can also configure a local repository for offline access to Liberty Repository assets (e.g. from IBM Fix Central for WebSphere).
Reference
These error messages might display during Liberty's installUtility operation when the IBM Liberty Repository is offline:
- CWWKF1219E: The IBM WebSphere Liberty Repository cannot be reached. Verify that your computer has network access and firewalls are configured correctly, then try the action again. If the connection still fails, the repository server might be temporarily unavailable.
- CWWKF1286E: The feature cannot be downloaded from the IBM WebSphere Liberty Repository. See the problem determination information on the WebSphere Application Server Support web page.
- CWWKM2002E: Failed to invoke installUtility, install, --acceptLicense
