APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a session icon is "hidden" from View on Start or Configure
Sessions dialog (pcsfe.exe), Session Manager will crash as soon
as it is started. It will also crash if you set an icon to Hide
by right-clicking on the icon while Session Manager is running.

Local fix

  • Remove the Hidden=Y keyword from any WS file in the users
APPDATA folder location.

Problem summary

  • An issue was identified in the Session Manager where displaying
the status message buffer was not large enough when the user
configuration specifies that hidden sessions should also be
shown.

Problem conclusion

  • Code changes have been implemented in the PCSFE.EXE module to
provide enough buffers to correctly store and display the status
message.

Note: The same has been fixed in PCSFM.EXE as well.
