Error description

  • When APPLY JCL with UNLOAD is generated, if the SYSREC DD
dataset is allocated in a TAPE unit and DSNTYPE=LARGE is enabled
- the DD statement is generated incorrectly, which causes with
'IEFC605I UNIDENTIFIED OPERATION FIELD' JCL error.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An incorrect DD statement is generated  *
*                      for UNLOAD in a Compare job for a       *
*                      tape unit.                              *
****************************************************************
A DD statement is generated incorrectly when all of the
following conditions are true:
- The 'As work statement list' option is set to NO.
- The resulting APPLY job is generated with an UNLOAD step.
- The SYSREC data set is defined as tape unit.
- DSNTYPE=LARGE is enabled.

This incorrect DD statement causes the job to fail
with the 'IEFC605I UNIDENTIFIED OPERATION FIELD' JCL error.

Additionally, DSNTYPE=LARGE is not generated when tape unit is
used in apply jobs generated from ALT and Compare.
