Error description

  • In the AIX Storage Agent package, the dsmulog binary file is
missing from being shipped with (while for instance it is
available in the appropriate Storage Agent package on Linux).
This has no impact on the general functionality of the Storage
Agent  it simply prevents the capture of console messages to a
log file.

Local fix

  • Copy dsmulog from a Storage Protect AIX server package to the
Storage Agent host.
From  /opt/tivoli/tsm/server/bin/   to
/opt/tivoli/tsm/StorageAgent/bin/
