Removing the Integrated Storage Controller Card.

Before You Begin.

⚠️ Important: Only certified technicians should perform complex repairs. You should carry out only those tasks that are approved in your product's documentation or as advised by official support channels. Unauthorized servicing may void your warranty. Always follow the safety guidelines provided with your equipment.

1. Review the safety precautions outlined in the product's safety documentation.
2. Complete the steps described in the "Before working inside your system" section.
3. Detach the cooling shroud.
4. Remove expansion card riser 1.
5. Have a Phillips #2 screwdriver available.

Removal Procedure

1. Loosen the screws securing the storage controller cable to its connector on the system board.
2. Carefully disconnect the cable from the controller card.
3. Gently lift one side of the card and tilt it to release it from its holder on the motherboard.
4. Remove the card from the system.

After Removal

• Reinstall expansion card riser 1.
• Reattach the cooling shroud.
• If needed, proceed with installing a new integrated storage controller card.
• Follow the steps in the "After working inside your system" section.

Installing the Integrated Storage Controller Card

Preparation

1. Review the safety instructions in the documentation.
2. Complete the steps in the "Before working inside your system" section.
3. Remove the cooling shroud.
4. Take out expansion card riser 1.
5. Keep a Phillips #2 screwdriver ready.

Installation Steps

1. Align the controller card with its designated connector on the motherboard.
2. Lower the connector end of the card into place, ensuring proper alignment.

💡 Note: Make sure the screw holes on the card align with the tabs on the system board.

3. Position the cable screws over the connector holes.
4. Secure the cable to the card by tightening the screws.

After Installation

• Reinstall expansion card riser 1.
• Reattach the cooling shroud.
• Complete the steps in the "After working inside your system" section.
