Steps

Removing the PCIe Card Holder.

Before You Begin.

• Ensure you have reviewed the safety precautions outlined in the Safety Instructions section.
• Complete the steps described in the Before You Begin Internal Work section.
• If present, take out the full-length PCIe card.

⚠️ Warning: Operating the system without the PCIe card holder can compromise cooling efficiency. Always ensure it is installed.

Procedure

1. Press the release latch and slide the card holder toward the rear of the chassis to disengage it.
2. Carefully lift the card holder out of the chassis.

💡 Note: To maintain proper airflow and cooling, reinstall the PCIe card holder after completing your work.

• If previously removed, reinstall the full-length PCIe card.

Installing the PCIe Card Holder

2. Press the release latch and slide the holder toward the front of the chassis until it locks into place.
