This document explains how to update firmware using the iLO 3 web interface.
To update the firmware and store files/repositories in iLO 3, you must have the "Configure iLO Settings" privilege.
Steps
1. Obtain the firmware file for the iLO 3 or server you want to update.
2. Select to the Administration -> iLO Firmware page.
3. Select Browse or Choose File, and then specify the location of the firmware image file.
4. Select start the update process, click Upload.
- Once firmware has been updated, the iLO 3 will restart and leave the connection offline for several minutes until it starts again, that is when you have to connect to the iLO 3 again and verify that the update has been completed successfully.
