Problem summary

  *                 (ABO) for z/OS, 2.2 and ABO for z/OS 2.2     *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: In rare cases, ABO may fail with the    *
  *                      "Assertion failed at ./Binder.cpp:7550: *
  *                      false" message when optimizing COBOL    *
  *                      programs compiled with the TEST option. *
  *                      This happens due to ABO being unable to *
  *                      generate new DWARF debug data for the   *
  *                      optimized program in some situations    *
  *                      where the original instruction          *
  *                      referenced by the DWARF data was        *
  *                      removed.                                *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply provided service                       *
  ****************************************************************
  ABO was modified to generate placeholder DWARF data in cases
  where ABO removes instructions and the corresponding DWARF data
  is retained.
  

Problem conclusion

• ABO was modified to correctly optimize input modules with these
  types of DWARF data.
