• When trying to install Storage Scale on Windows with latest
  Cygwin version (3.6.1), the installation can fail due to
  security issues.
  

Local fix

• Downgrade Cygwin to version 3.6.0 or below before attempting to
  install Storage Scale on Windows.Problem trigger:

  Benefits of the solution:
  Fix security errors in Scale installation scripts resulting due
  to changes in behavior of various Cygwin commands, such as chown
  and chmod, which even when running elevated (as Local System
  account), fail with permission denied errors. Ignore non-fatal
  errors.
  
  Work Around:
  Downgrade Cygwin to version 3.6.0 or below before attempting to
  install Storage Scale on Windows.
