Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Classic Interface * * Performance Expert Client (PE Client) * * Batch RETRACE report set * * Performance Warehouse (PWH) * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1. Incorrect threads displayed when * * switching to remote Db2 in classic. * * 2. PE Client does not show data * * sharing group member data. * * 3. RECTRACE for IFCID 417 reports only * * on the first data section. * * 4. History Sequential file processing * * ABEND002-18. * * 5. Repeated PWH DBRM binds. * * 6. Autodetect=YES option can cause * * an abend. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply recommended PTF. * **************************************************************** 1. Local threads displayed after switching to remote Db2 in Classic interface panel ZALLT (and others) 2. PE Client does not show correct subsystem data when switching between data sharing group members - only data for the local member is shown. 3. RECTRACE reports for IFCID 417 only show data of first data section. 4. If an IFCID record is too long, SEQuential file processing receives an ABEND002-18. 5. PWH packages are bound again when PWH starts even after they were bound previously already. 6. Db2 subsystems which does not have proper setup, but have been autodetected can cause an abend of collector during shutdown of Db2 subsystem itself.
Problem conclusion
1. Fix collector to show remote threads after switching to a remote Db2 data sharing member. 2. Fix collector to show data of the selected data sharing group member in the PE Client screens. 3. Fix RETRACE report processing for IFCID 417 so it shows all data sections that are in the trace record. 4. Bypass records that are too long to write to QSAM file and issue message KO2O1365I for each record skipped. 5. Update PWH package bind statistics/timestamp properly after a successful bind is run, so it will not be bound again when PWH starts the next time. 6. Handle Db2 shutdown in a proper way.
