• Compiler abends with message MSGIGYCB7104-U Internal error while
  compiling program XXXXXX. Failed assertion on /build/cob/6.4/tr
  .v64.cobol-prod-opt/tr.source/ibm/il/Node_inlines.hpp:85.
  Enterprise COBOL 6.x users compiling programs at OPT(1|2),
  ARCH(10|11) with a MOVE where the sender is a zoned data item
  with a mantissa, and the receiver is an unsigned zoned data item
  with fewer mantissa digits. The receiver is used in a subsequent
  comparison.
  

Local fix

• Compile with OPT(0), or change the receiver of MOVE statement to
  signed.
