You download an installation package for IBM MQ from either IBM Passport Advantage or IBM Fix Central.

You notice that in addition of the LARGE file (suffix .zip) that contains the desired code, there is another TINY file (suffix .sha256sum) which contains the checksum/codesign using the algorithm SHA256 that the MQ Development team obtain before uploading the files into our servers.

You would like to know you can obtain the SHA256 checksum in your local Windows machine and compare it with the one provided by MQ Development: if both values are identical then you can be assured that the MQ code was not altered in transit.
