Problem
Starting the DOORS client or the DOORS interop server fails with a parsing error referring to the file
dxl_server_registry.dat.Symptom
When attempting to start doors.exe, the following error is displayed:
Error while parsing file 'C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp/dxl_server_registry.dat' at line 30660: expecting Description DOORS: ASSERTION FAILED, Line 154, TokenReader.cpp: !NLS_("Warning: lost exception") Unable to load DXL server registry: Unexpected Token Invalid (pre-V8) DOORSHOME for this DOORS executable Press return to exit DOORS. Additionally, a large call stack is printed, followed by a message stating that the DOORS URL interface could not be created.
This can also cause the DWA server to fail to start if it is configured to use doors.exe as the interop server.
