IBM Z IntelliMagic Vision for z/OS doesn't show report previews and exports fail with Playwright error

Troubleshooting


Problem

IBM Z IntelliMagic Vision for z/OS stops showing report preview thumbnails and export to PDF or PowerPoint fails in version 1.1.1.7.

Symptom

  • Report preview thumbnails are not visible - this includes Report Sets, Collected, History and Favorites. See example below (Report set):
    Report previews fail to load 1.1.1.7
  • Report export fails - this includes exports to a file or sent by email, as well as scheduled exports for both PDF and PowerPoint.
    • PDF immediately presents a red error message:

    • PowerPoint will show the green notification message (normal), however it will fail to open the "Save as" option.
    • For emailed or scheduled reports the errors are logged, however they are not directly visible from the Web Reporter interface
  • Please note that export to CSV and SPLUNK are not affected.
