Affected Domain

Any TS7700 (3957-VED, 3948-VED and 3948-VEF) in mixed code level grid environments or capable of copy export or DS8K object offload capabilities. The affected code levels are R5.4 PGA1 (8.54.1.27), R5.4 PGA2 (8.54.2.17) and R6.0 GA (8.60.0.115).

Abstract

Problems were found in the following scenarios:
  • TS7700 (3957-VED, 3948-VED and 3948-VEF) in mixed code level grid environments with code levels R5.3 PGA1 (8.53.1.21), R5.4 PGA1 (8.54.1.27), R5.4 PGA2 (8.54.2.17) and R6.0 GA (8.60.0.115).
  • TS7700 (3957-VED, 3948-VED and 3948-VEF) with copy export or DS8K object offload capabilities with code levels R5.4 PGA1 (8.54.1.27), R5.4 PGA2 (8.54.2.17) and R6.0 GA (8.60.0.115).

Description

In a mixed code level grid environment where one or more of the clusters is in code level R6.0 GA (8.60.0.115) and the remaining clusters are in lower codes levels such as R5.3 PGA1 (8.53.1.21), R5.4 PGA1 (8.54.1.27) or R5.4 PGA2 (8.54.2.17), the R6.0 GA (8.60.0.115) cluster is not capable of going online.
Other failing functionalities are copy export or DS8K object offload capabilities with code levels R5.4 PGA1 (8.54.1.27), R5.4 PGA2 (8.54.2.17) and R6.0 GA (8.60.0.115) for both stand-alone and grid.
