Error description
Replication storage rule may fail with ANR3570E errors logged in the target replication server activity log. As a consequence, the replication process is marked as failed and does not process filespaces for that node. This APAR applies when the following is seen: 1) On the source replication server the storage rule for replication is marked as failed. 2) In the target server activity log can be seen: ANR3570E REGISTER ADMIN: The PASSWORD parameter value is too short. The minimum length is 16 characters. but there is no information in the activity log or in the dsmffdc logs what the admin name is. There is not enough information to know what the ADMIN name is that replication is trying to register and which has a password that is too short leading to the ANR3570E message. Also, there are no messages on the source replication server in the activity log or in the dsmffdc logs to indicate the reason for the failure at all. 3) The trace from the target server shows admin name during replication storage rule process with REPL trace flag enabled: XX:XX:XX.XXX [80991][xirepl.c][4959][DoCmd]: command=REGISTER ADMIN <ADMIN_NAME> '******** ' CASESENSITIVE=NO CONTACT="CONTACT NAME" PASSEXP=0 AUTHENTICATION=LOCAL SSLREQ=DEFAULT CMDAPPROVER=NO XX:XX:XX.XXX [80991][admadmin.c][7177][TraceMsg]:ANR3570E REGISTER ADMIN: The PASSWORD parameter value is too short. The minimum length is 16 characters.~ If all 3 conditions above are met then APAR applies. Local fix
On source replication server update the administrator password reported in point 3) above to meet target replication server password requirements: UPDATE ADMIN <ADMIN_NAME> **************** and restart replication storage rule from source replication server.

Problem conclusion
A message will now appear in the target replication server's FFDC logs, identifying the name of the administrator experiencing the issue. This problem was fixed. Platforms fixed: AIX, Linux, and Windows.
