  • Cobol program build producing confusing Syntax error, for
example:

Warning [999] : Syntax error: 'Y'

Local fix

Problem summary

  • Building COBOL program resulted in syntax error warnings such as
'Warning [999] : Syntax error: 'Y'' caused by a defect in the
parsing algorithm that surfaced only in case of misuse of build
decisions feature.

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed the code defect and instructed the usage of build
decisions properly.
