APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After upgrading to WAS 9.0.5.23 version column shows blank in
    the administrative console  Servers > Server Types > Websphere
    Application Servers panel.
    This does not happen on fresh straight forward installation of
    WAS 9.0.5.23. Only happens when upgrading from previous fixpack
    to 9.0.5.23 on WAS 9.0.5 release.
    

Local fix

  • As a local fix, from administrative console go to  Servers > All
    Servers panel to display the correct version in the column.
    No functional and performance impact with this issue.

    application servers panel is empty.
    Servers > Server Types > WebSphere application servers
    This does not happen on a fresh installation of
    WAS 9.0.5.23. It only happens when upgrading from a previous
    fix
    pack to 9.0.5.23.
    

Problem conclusion

Temporary fix

  • A server's version information can also be found under the "All
    servers" panel.
