Download and apply the hotfix for IBM Storage Fusion to resolve issues in Backup & Restore service 2.9.1.
Follow the instructions to apply this hotfix:
- For offline environments, use the following script to mirror hotfix images to offline registry before applying hotfix:
br-291patch-offline-mirror.sh. - Download the br-post-install-patch-291.sh and apply it as follows:
- Download or copy the br-291patch-offline-mirror.sh to local folder.
- Run the following command to apply the patch.
Note: Make sure you are logged in to the cluster from CLI.
chmod +x <br-post-install-patch-291.sh>
This hotfix fixes the following Backup & Restore issue:
The restore process fails due to duplicate BackupRepositoryobjects, impacting Kopia datamovers. However, the Legacy (restic) data movers are unaffected. The following error occurs when you use kopia datamovers (default in 2.9):
There was an error when processing the job in the Transaction Manager service.The errors contains the following message:
More than one BackupRepository found for workload namespace <workload namespace name>.
