Db2 for i tooling is enhanced with IBM i 7.6 to include "Wait" insights:
- Average Object Lock Wait Time (ms)
- Average Object Lock Wait Count
- Average Record Lock Wait Time (ms)
- Average Record Lock Wait Count
- Average Seize Wait Time (ms)
- Average Seize Wait Count
Tools that are enhanced include:
- Visual Explain (via Plan Cache Snapshot, Database Monitor, and the Live Plan Cache)
- "Longest Runs" functionality in the Live Plan Cache
- SQL Performance Monitors
The new information is found under the Actual Runtime Information section, as seen in Figure 1.
