SAML Certificate Expiration in April 2025

StreamSets Support would like to inform you of an upcoming maintenance event for which we may need your participation in order to avoid any interruptions to your access to the Control Hub user interface. If you are not using SAML authentication, you can disregard this notification. 

As your organization uses SAML authentication to control access to the Control Hub user interface, we are notifying you that our Control Hub SAML certificate will expire on May 2025. In order to resolve this, StreamSets will need to configure a new SAML certificate in Control Hub. If your organization uses a Control Hub SAML certificate in your Identity Provider(IdP), you will need to deploy a new public SAML certificate in your IdP.  

• StreamSets will deploy a new SAML certificate with a 1-year validity period in line with current industry security standards on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
• In order to ensure a straightforward and seamless transition, StreamSets will configure, in Control Hub, the new 1-year SAML certificate alongside the existing old SAML certificate until Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at which point the old SAML certificate will be discontinued. This will ensure that you should be able to configure the new public SAML certificate in your Identity Provider and validate that there will be no interruption in your ability to access the Control Hub user interface. 

• Some Identity Providers may not support the use of multiple certificates in signature verification. Signature verification implementation varies between Identity Providers so we recommend contacting your SAML team to determine whether this scenario is applicable to your organization.   

• StreamSets Support will be opening support tickets on your organization's behalf after Wednesday, March 26, 2025, to provide further guidance through the process.
