CP4BA Case Manager Property Updates Fail Due to Unremoved Case Instance Migration Lock

Troubleshooting

Problem

In CP4BA environments, where Case Manager solutions are based on BPM workflows, case property updates via API or UI may fail unexpectedly after performing a case instance migration. The problem may arise due to different circumstances including scenarios where migration appears complete and SYNC_READY is set to TRUE on the database side.

Symptom

Case properties cannot be modified for both new and existing cases as attempts to update them result in unexpected errors.
