webMethods Knowlegebase : WmMonitor cannot reach MWS Host

Troubleshooting


Problem

We are facing an issue in our PROD environment.

Our current installation have 3 IS installed on 3 separated VM and MWS server in another VM.

Our WmMonitor config is filled in with the following parameters :

  • wm.monitor.dbRetries=3

    wm.monitor.useExactMatch=false

    wm.monitor.myWebmethodsHost=ZZZ.eu.loi.net

    wm.monitor.dlsSuperUser=Administrator

    wm.monitor.aclSetting=7

    wm.monitor.resubmitOnLocalIS=false

    wm.monitor.myWebmethodsPassword=

    wm.monitor.addMwUsertoMonitorACL=true

    wm.monitor.useCache=false

    wm.monitor.dlsEnabled=false

    wm.monitor.myWebmethodsPort=8585

    wm.monitor.archiveResults.days=14

    wm.monitor.jdbcArchive=false

    wm.monitor.myWebmethodsPath=

    wm.monitor.connTimeout=10000

    wm.monitor.etlBatchSize=100

    wm.monitor.myWebmethodsTransport=http

    wm.monitor.myWebmethodsUserName=Administrator

We do have a proxy server set up, the host ZZZ.eu.loi.net and eupgdeadp041 are part of proxy bypass list.

However, while calling the service pub.monitor.archive:serviceArchive in WmMonitor we can see that the IS cannot communicate with MWS to validate our user’s right.

The port 8585 is open between our VM, no firewall blocking rule.

Reason is, after struggling a long time to find this, the IS keeps using the proxy server even if the target server is in bypass list.

Can you provide us an explanation and a solution?
