webMethods Knowlegebase : Access CCE page with alternative name

Troubleshooting


Problem

Customer has a different logical & physical name for their machine.

They have following use case:



They are asking if they can switch the application to use the alternative name itccedev01.aaa.com and not the physical's VM name it4250yr.aaa.com ?

They found that they are able to connect their CCE using the logical name |http://itccedev01.aaa.com]:8091/cce/web. They are asking if they need to change anything on the CCE configuration (e,g cc.properties file? nodeInfo.xml for the spm?).



Additionally, will they need to create the  certificate with CN itccedev01.aaa.com with all AN of his DEV SPM machines when they request their internal certificate to use HTTPS on CCE login page and to SPM?
