Problem
This is a remainder for the alert sent back on April 2025.
If your TSSCs have patch FixProviderCheckerService_2025-03-04 (version 1) or FixProviderCheckerServiceV2_2025-03-04 (version 2) installed, no other action is required, thank you. If not installed yet please follow this alert recommendation.
TSSC code level 9.4.31 introduced changes to a new service to request information from esupport.ibm.com.
If problems are hit the service process aborts and restarts in the next 5 seconds. Restarting the process causes the requested information to be retrieved. If the problem persists then the process restarts every 5 to 10 seconds.
Having this process making calls continuously is causing overhead in the esupport.ibm.com infrastructure.
Environment
Resolving The Problem
Request the patch FixProviderCheckerServiceV2_2025-03-04 to be installed in all TSSCs with code levels 9.4.31, 9.6.10 and 9.6.15.
Note: If the patch 9.X.X_SecurityPatch_ppc64le_2025-02-13 or 9.X.X_SecurityPatch_x86_64_2025-02-19 is not applied yet to the TSSC, it will need to be applied first.
Note 2: If the patch FixProviderCheckerService_2025-03-04 (version 1) is already installed, it is not required to install FixProviderCheckerServiceV2_2025-03-04 (version 2) unless a proxy to connect to Call Home is being used.
