webMethods Knowlegebase : UM with multiple LDAP branches (1765482)

Troubleshooting

Problem

Need to have an instance of UM perform basic authentication with an LDAP back end.

When configuring this per the "Universal Messaging Developer Guide" page 73, it appears UM can only search a single branch of LDAP.

LDAP has different branches for employees, contractors and batch accounts. (i.e. o=mm,ou=employee; o=mm,o=contractors; o=mm,ou=applications).

Is there a way to authenticate off these various branches or to validate that a user is a member of a specific group in the LDAP?

Is there a way to connect UM to Central User manager to pull the required LDAP connection or create a properties file and then specify one -D parameter pointing to the file?
