webMethods Knowlegebase : Intermittent errors in SAP Adapter Listener (1804942)

Troubleshooting

Problem

Intermittent issues with SAP integrations using SAP Adapter Listeners and Synchronous Notifications.

There are two types of errors, both causing IDoc lost.

1) "connection closed" errors observed intermittently, no error visible in SAP system

Errors in IS log:

-------------------

2020-06-04 06:30:21 CEST [SAP.0104.0005W] Error in RFC Listener xxxx.connectors.yyyyyy.sap:TIMERS_Listener with status "ALIVE" and connection "sapddddd.prg-xxx.com|sapgw00|TIMERSO01": CPIC-CALL: CMSEND on convId: 18834844

no SAP ErrInfo available

connection closed

Errors in SAP Adapter trace file:

2) 2nd type of error is about SNC. SNC is enabled and configured on both sides, and previously worked without issues. SAP system sending IDocs is getting error:
