Troubleshooting
Problem
The Build Report shows a strange warning for a process model which has an "Intermediate Boundary Error" step.
“TestProcess.zip” containing the process model is attached.
This model has a step "svc1" with an input "startProcessDoc"
On top of step "svc1", an Intermediate Boundary Error step "error1" is configured
From "Error1" a transition goes to step "errorHandler", which has an input "startProcessDoc"
The Problem: the build report shows this warning:
Warning: Input "startProcessDoc" for task/event "S13" has not been created as an output of any upstream task/event. This data may not be available to the task/event at runtime. Step ID: "S13"
From customer’s point of view, this warning is a defect, because:
1. "startProcessDoc" is already created as an output of an upstream event! It is created in event "startProcessDoc"
2. The process works as expected. The errorHandler receives "startProcessDoc"
After further investigation the issue seems to be related to the fact that the output of the step S13 does not contain anything.
