webMethods Knowlegebase : Mediator restart issue (1779523)

Troubleshooting

Problem

If the following is done:

1: Disable a port in IS

2: Restart the IS

3: Enable the port

The Mediator behaves in the following way:

1: After disabling the port, no requests are forwarded (the disabled port is the one used to invoke VS's via Mediator)

2: Once the Mediator has been restarted, and the port has been re-enabled, the Mediator still is not forwarding any requests. This seems to be a bug

3: If the Mediator is restarted again, then new requests are properly forwarded via Mediator

It has been also observed that, if the service pg.UIConfig:getPorts is called, the Mediator starts forwarding requests, without having to restart the IS again after re-enabling the port.
