Troubleshooting
Problem
Vulnerability SQL queries that take longer than 20 minutes to run cause the API to generate an exception and the reporting engine to produce blank reports.
Cause
The issue can occur when the back-end query on the QRadar database times out. The default timeout interval for the Java Persistence API (JPA) database is 20 minutes.
Resolving The Problem
To resolve this issue, edit the following files to increase the JPA timeout property:
/opt/qradar/conf/frameworks.properties /store/configservices/deployed/globalconfig/frameworks.properties /store/configservices/staging/globalconfig/frameworks.properties /opt/qradar/conf/templates/frameworks.properties
In each file, change the value of the jpa.unreturnedConnectionTimeout parameter to 1800 by editing the following line:
jpa.unreturnedConnectionTimeout=1800
