Troubleshooting
Problem
The issue arises when a user from System organisation tries to generate Auth Token in another organisation. For example, we have a System organisation "Admin" and all the admin users in this particular organisation have "Auth Token Administrator" privileges.
Another organisation is "Work". When we login with admin organisation i.e. username@admin and try to generate the auth token for a new data collector under a different organisation "Work", we get the error RESTAPI_10.
The expectation is, since user@admin is part of System organisation "admin" and has Auth Token Privileges, they should be able to generate an Authentication token for Data Collectors in any organisation.
Symptom
User is not able to generate the Token even despite possessing the "Auth Token Administrator" privileges.
User is not allow to operate on other organizations : RESTAPI_10
Resolving The Problem
By default, a system administrator can view resources from any organization, but only users within the organization can modify them. To resolve this issue, create a matching user in the WORK organization and log in with that user. This will ensure the token generation works properly.
