HTTP Client Stage Method PATCH with Java17

Troubleshooting


Problem

When using "Http Method" PATCH and JDK 17 with the "HTTP Client" Stage you may get the following error above.

Symptom

ERROR HttpProcessor - Error fetching resource. HTTP-Status: NULL Reason: java.util.con
current.ExecutionException: javax.ws.rs.ProcessingException: java.lang.reflect.InaccessibleObjectException: Unable to make field private final sun.net.www.proto

Resolving The Problem

Please backup your sdc-env.sh and modify the ADD OPENS section with below item and restart SDC.

--add-opens java.base/sun.net.www.protocol.https=ALL-UNNAMED

This is currently fixed in Streamsets Data Collector 6.0.0.
