Reset Onboard Administrator to factory password.

Steps

•   SERIAL CONSOLE

  1. It is necessary to connect the computer to the Onboard Administrator serial port using a Null-Modem cable.
  2. In the cable configuration it must be 9600 N, 8, 1, VT100.
  3. It is necessary to open the terminal application ( Windows/Linux ).
  4. You need to press the administrator reset button for 5 seconds.
  5. Press L when the prompt appears and the password that the Onboard administrator has set will appear.

  

• USB Key Key Script

  NOTE: If a large lock symbol appears on the LCD screen, the menu buttons are locked and the serial console method will be required.

  In the following example, the administrator password we will set will be 123456789.

  1. You need to create a text file called reset_password.cfg with the following command:
     SET USER PASSWORD administrator 123456789
  2. On the active OA, indicated by a lit LED, insert the USB memory drive with the reset_password.cfg file.
  3. On the Chassis LCD, go to the main menu, select USB Key and press OK.
  4. The LCD will prompt you to enter a PIN, if PIN protection is enabled.
  5. Select Restore Settings and press OK. The .cfg files saved and available inside the USB memory will appear.
  6. Select the reset_password.cfg file, and then click OK.
  7.  Press OK to confirm.
  8. Try the password 123456789 on the Administrator user.
