Error description

  • Errors logged applying VIOS 4.1.1 ios.artex_profile.rte:

Could not load program /usr/sbin/rules:
Symbol resolution failed for /usr/lib/libartex.a(shr.o)
because:
        Symbol single_locale (number 11) is not exported
from dependent
          module /usr/lib/libc.a(shr.o).

Local fix

  • Update bos.rte.libc before ios.artex_profile.rte

Problem summary

  • Errors can be seen when updating to VIOS 4.1.1 when the
ios.artex_profile.rte fileset is applied.

Problem conclusion

  • Add install requisites to ensure the packaging scripts can
run correctly
