Maintenance is listed from most recent to oldest and is applicable for both IBM Z APM Connect V6.2 and IBM Instana Observability for z/OS V1.2.

IBM Z APM Connect has multiple components. The Distributed Gateway is a component that runs within a Linux environment and updates are available as an image in Fix Central.
The host components run on z/OS and updates are available as PTFs available from ShopZ. While maintenance for these components can be applied independently of each other, there may be minimum required level of the Distributed Gateway that needs to be deployed to exploit new capabilities added to the z/OS host components.
This document provides details on maintenance for IBM Z APM Connect V6.2 and IBM Instana Observability for z/OS V1.2.
Distributed Gateway
The Distributed Gateway is a required component for all IBM Z APM Connect deployments. The version number of the Distributed Gateway images and packages follows a year.month.iteration format. For example, V25.2.0 to represent the image released in February 2025.
You are recommended to regularly update the Distributed Gateway to the latest level to ensure you have the latest fixes and security updates.
Typically, a new release of the Distributed Gateway will occur every 3 months, however the release cycle may vary according to needs. Distributed Gateway maintenance is cumulative, meaning you only need to install the latest version to receive the most current support. Unless stated otherwise, the Distributed Gateway can support integration with both V6.2 and V6.1 host components.

Maintenance for z/OS host components is listed from most recent to oldest.
PTFs are not cumulative.
Note: The minimum required DG level is 25.2.0; however, it is strongly recommended to upgrade to the latest DG version, 25.12.0
