Problem
This technote discusses a deployment failure of IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation (CP4BA) 24.0 during the CPE (Content Processing Engine) pre-deployment phase. The error indicates a problem with database connectivity and an undefined variable related to SSL configuration.
Symptom
The CP4BA operator log shows errors similar to the following:
"message": "The task includes an option with an undefined variable. The error was: 'dict object' has no attribute '<Required>.sslmode'. 'dict object' has no attribute '<Required>.sslmode'. 'dict object' has no attribute '<Required>.sslmode'. 'dict object' has no attribute '<Required>.sslmode'\nThe error appears to be in '/opt/ansible/roles/FNCM/tasks/cpe/cpe-pre-deploy.yml': line 725, column 3, but may be elsewhere in the file depending on the exact syntax problem.\nThe offending line appears to be:\n\n- name: \"Calculate the CPE configuration checksum\" ^ here ",[0m[0;33m "reason": "CPE pre-deployment failed! Pls check Ansible log for details."
The CPE component fails to start. Other components may also be affected. The overall CP4BA deployment remains in a failed state.
