New release of IBM Z IntelliMagic Vision for z/OS

We are happy to announce a new release of IBM Z IntelliMagic Vision for z/OS which is available from IBM FixCentral. Please find details on the changes and solutions in the Release Notes that are available from here.

Below are the most important changes that are included in IBM Z IntelliMagic Vision for z/OS 1.1.1.4:

1. Additional support of the IBM DS8000 10th generation disk subsystems. The newly supported models are IBM DS8A10, DS8A50 and DS8A80 models.
2. This release supports the IBM z16 AGZ model.
3. This release provides out of the box reporting for IMS Batch activity. The new reports apply to both IMS Performance Analyzer and BMC AMI Ops.
4. Improved “Completion Code” reports for IMS Performance Analyzer.
5. The “Performance Overview” focal point within “Systems, Paging, WLM” now provides access to reports that provide an overview of the CECs and Systems. The newly designed focal point is intended as the new go to location for a quick overview.
6. Additional, new, report set “Systems, Paging, WLM > Workload > Transactions” which provides new out of the box insights into transaction activity. The reports give insights based on information from the RMF response time buckets.
7. The backend chart engine which is used to create PDF and PowerPoint exports has been updated. The new PDF and PowerPoint exports match the output seen in the Web Reporter more closely. This change also affects the visualization of the previews and pie charts in the IBM Z IntelliMagic Vision for z/OS Web Reporter.
8. It is now possible to enable the Other series for Pie charts. The Other series allows reporting the Top N versus the remaining information for series that do not fall in the Top N.
9. The IBM Z IntelliMagic Vision for z/OS Automator includes a new section that highlights files that are waiting to be processed for more than 8 hours. Files waiting to be processed for more than 24 hours will be listed with a warning state.
   Note: The thresholds for including in the section and for triggering a warning state can be configured by an administrator
10. IBM Z IntelliMagic Vision for z/OS can include a link back to the Web Reporter within exported PDF and PowerPoint files. An administrator needs to enable this in the configuration. With this new version, the configuration can be modified from the Site Admin > Advanced page in the Web Reporter.
11. Processing of SMF 74.4 Coupling Facility data has been optimized to use less processing and CPU time.
12. CICS reports have been improved. The reports now apply a Top 20 by default for those reports that typically result in more than 20 series.
