What are the compatible host and Eclipse client components for Early Development Testing for Eclipse in IBM Test Accelerator for Z?
Answer
Early Development Testing for Eclipse is an extension offering which has IBM Developer for z/OS (IDz) host and client as a prerequisite, along with the Dynamic Test Engine feature of the IBM z/OS Debugger.
Host enhancements or fixes included in the Dynamic Test Engine feature of the IBM z/OS Debugger which are also client-dependent in Eclipse are not available to developers using earlier versions of the client: for example, an enhancement to the version 16.0.6 z/OS Debugger that requires a new user interface, such as a window or preference, is not available from the version 1.0.0 Early Development Testing Eclipse client.
Client enhancements are not available in earlier versions of the server: for example, a feature added to the version 1.0.1 Early Development Testing Eclipse client is not available if you connect to a version 16.0.5 z/OS Debugger.
