PH64370: CSQYASCP TERMINATES WITH ABEND S0C1 FOLLOWING RECOVERY ERROR DURING QUEUE MANAGER SHUTDOWN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• An abend occurred during CSQYSTOP processing during queue
  manager shutdown due to a storage overlay of one of the SHB
  control blocks associated with ROB control blocks.
  During recovery processing for this abend, an error can lead to
  retry processing taking place incorrectly, resulting in CSQYASCP
  terminating later with abend S0C1.

  *                      Symptoms can include                    *
  *                      - Queue manager terminates abend 0C1    *
  *                      - Abend 0C4 in CSQRCRSC                 *
  *                      - LPAR crash                            *

  Following an overlay of an MQ control block, the queue manager
  was shutdown normally. During termination processing, multiple
  abends occurred due to the overlaid control block, and were
  retried successfully.
  
  When the checkpoint serial controller was terminating it
  similarly abended due to the overlay, however errors in its
  recovery processing led to unexpected behaviour. In some cases
  this led to additional unexpected abends or further overlays of
  system storage.
  

Problem conclusion

• The identified errors in shutdown processing have been
  corrected.
