OMEGAMON DATA PROVIDER 2024 Q4 MAINTENANCE
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All OMEGAMON Data Provider users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: OMEGAMON DATA PROVIDER 2024 Q4 * * MAINTENANCE * **************************************************************** This APAR includes minor upgrades and changes. OMEGAMON Data Broker: - Broker now requires a Zowe cross-memory server from Zowe 3.x.x Broker is a plug-in for the Zowe cross-memory server. Previously, Broker was compatible with servers from Zowe 2.12.0 or any later 2.x.x. Now, Broker requires a server from Zowe version 3.x.x. If you already run Broker using the server that is supplied with OMEGAMON Data Provider, then this change involves no additional upgrade action for you. As before, use the latest supplied load modules. However, if you run Broker using a server in a separate Zowe installation, then you need to take additional action. See the "What's new" topic for this APAR in the OMEGAMON Data Provider product documentation. - Upgraded Zowe cross-memory server OMEGAMON Data Provider supplies the Zowe cross-memory server load module in TKANMODP(KAYSIS01) and the dynamic linkage base plug-in for the server in TKANMODP(KAYSISDL). These load modules have been updated to match the load modules supplied with Zowe 3.0.0. OMEGAMON Data Connect: - Increased default queue capacity The configuration parameter connect.event-publisher.queue-capacity specifies the maximum number of records in a queue. The default value has been increased from 50,000 (fifty thousand) to 1,000,000 (one million). This change reverts an earlier change in APAR OA65724 that decreased the value from 1,000,000 to 50,000. This APAR reverts that earlier change because recent tests show that a default of 50,000 is potentially too small to handle realistic spikes in data volume.
Problem conclusion
Temporary fix
