Abstract
This notice is to draw attention to TBSM customers regarding IBM Tivoli Netcool/Impact upgrades.
Content
Fix Pack 36 for IBM Tivoli Netcool/Impact upgrades the embedded Java JRE to version 17. However, TBSM components require Java version 8 and will not function correctly if Java is upgraded to version 17.
Therefore, it is critical that systems using TBSM components do not upgrade to Impact version 7.1.0.36 or higher.
The last compatible version of Impact with Java 8 is 7.1.0.35, making it the highest 7.1.0 version that works with TBSM.
If you need a version of Impact that continues to use Java 8 after 7.1.0.35, you should upgrade to Impact 7.1.1.x
Note: IBM Tivoli Netcool/Impact 7.1.1.0 supersedes 7.1.0.35 and is compatible with TBSM 6.2.0.6.
