IJ53352: NULLPOINTEREXCEPTION OCCURS IN CICS EXPLORER TABLE VIEWS WHEN CM PLUGIN IS INSTALLED

Error description

• Error executing com.ibm.cics.cm.compare.compareResources, when
  using any compare function in the CM plugin:
  org.eclipse.core.commands.ExecutionException: Error executing
  'com.ibm.cics.cm.compare.compareResources':
  java.lang.NullPointerException
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• When either the CICS Configuration Manager plug-in or CICS
  Performance Analyzer plug-ins are installed into Aqua 3.4 CICS
  Explorer (without the CICS SDK for Enterprise Java installed)
  the resources tables views fail to load.  The error
  java.lang.NullPointerException: Cannot invoke
  "com.ibm.cics.explorer.tables.ui.internal.TableManager.getTable
  Viewer()" because "this.tableManager" is null is shown in the
  error logs.
  

Problem conclusion

• CICS Explorer has been updated so that the resources tables
  view now displays when either the CICS Configuration Manager
  plug-in or CICS Performance Analyzer plug-in are installed.
  
  This fix will be made available in Version 5.5.40 (34.0.2) of
  the CICS Explorer.
