Troubleshooting
Problem
Connections to Amazon Web Services-based data sources, such as RedShift and Athena, start failing. The data source connections were previously working without issue now throw a certificate error in Q4-2024.
Symptom
The following error is thrown as a connection to a Redshift or Athena server is attempted.
com.ibm.jsse2.util.j: PKIX path building failed: com.ibm.security.cert.IBMCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
