support the symlinks/symbols being set by the wlpenv script

Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: wlpenv fails with an "Unable to access *
    * jarfile" error and return code 1. *
    ****************************************************************
A Liberty JVM server is enabled within CICS. The JVM server's
    JVM profile contains WLP_INSTALL_DIR, WLP_OUTPUT_DIR and/or
WLP_USER_DIR paths that use z/OS system symbols.

As the JVMSERVER is enabled, the wlpenv script is created within
the JVM server's WORK_DIR. wlpenv contains the paths from the
    JVM profile.

Later wlpenv is run from a terminal. Liberty does not support
z/OS system symbols so the symlinks within the path(s) are not
resolved correctly which causes the command to fail.

wlpenv is called when the PERFORM JVMSERVER LIBERTY SERVERDUMP
command is run, so the same problem could occur in that
scenario. This would result in DFHSJ1604E being issued.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS has been updated to call realpath() on the WLP_INSTALL_DIR,
WLP_OUTPUT_DIR and WLP_USER_DIR values when populating wlpenv to
    resolve the paths.
