Db2 for i is an integrated relational database manager on the IBM i operating system.
Db2 for i is part of the IBM i operating system, therefore, DB2 for i version is the same as the IBM i operating system one. You can issue DSPPTF (Display PTF status) command to see the operating release.
You can also use GO LICPGM, option 10, (Display installed licensed programs), and press F11, to find the IBM i operating system version.

Issue WRKRDBDIRE command to find DB2 for i database name.

Note that the relational database entry with *LOCAL remote location is the DB2 for i database name on this IBM i system.
With Db2 for i, independent auxiliary storage pools (ASPs), also known as independent disk pools, allow you to have one or more separate databases associated with each ASP group. You can set up databases using primary independent disk pools.
446 drda
447 ddm
448 ddm-ssl
The DDM (Distributed Data Management) or DRDA (Distributed Relational Database Architecture)TCP/IP server listens on port 446 (the well-known DRDA port), port 447 (the well-known DDM port), and port 448 (the well-known TLS port). The Db2 for i implementation of DDM does not distinguish between the two ports 446 and 447, so both DDM and DRDA access can be done on either port.
