Are there any additional ACTION HOLD items related to APAR PH64309 ( First Cumulative APAR or GA PTF) for zWS 10.2.0 ?

Revised July 28, 2026 with information about fallback with program EQQICTOP
The fallback procedure has changed, you can use the EQQICTOP conversion program only to upgrade to the current version and not to fallback. Before upgrading, ensure that you have created a backup copy of the data sets that you are going to convert, which you specify in the FILE parameter of the CONVERT statement of the JCL running the EQQICTOP program.
You can use this backup to revert to the previous release, unless you have already started working with the new release. For details refer to the migration documentation.

Please note that after applying PH64309, z Workload Scheduler will support JAVA V17 whereas previously only
JAVA V8 was supported.
JAVA is used for the following functions (also the installation job EQQPCS08 is needed for JAVA):
Historical run data archiving. (Historical reporting, programs EQQRXARC and EQQRXAR1)
Event-driven workload automation.
Jobs submission on z-centric and dynamic agents.

PH64676 -- if EQQJOBS is run after applying PH64309 you will see errror :

This is because the SEQQSAMP member EQQICVFY contains a module rather than the JCL sample.
This can be corrected by installing the fix for PH64676 prior to running EQQJOBS (this technote will be updated
when a PTF is ready however there is an APARFIX available from the support team) or to bypass the issue
you may copy member EQQICVFY from the 10.1 SEQQSAMP to the 10.2 SEQQSAMP before running EQQJOBS,
or you may copy member EQQICVFY from the 10.2 RELFILE HWSZA20.F3 and then run EQQJOBS.
The only difference in EQQICVFY is the copyright statement (2022 changed to 2025).

Note that migration to 10.2 from 10.1 will require that SPE10101 PH45777 is applied to 10.1.
PTFs for PH45777 include UI83377 and UI83378.
