After a Cognos Analytics upgrade and using an existing data source connection in Framework manager (whether testing the connection or testing query subjects), users receive the following error :
"QE-DEF-0368 Unable to decrypt user name and password credentials from the content store. Review and save the Cognos Configuration settings to configure your reporting environment."
However, you can still successfully test the data source connection in Cognos analytics Administration Console. Also, newly created data source connections do not result in the same error in Framework manager.
Regenerating cryptographic keys for the Framework Manager install does not resolve the issue.
