PH64246: COMPILER PROGRAM CHECK PHASE IGYCDMAP MODULE IGYHCNTL WITH LANGUAGE(JA) AND THE MAP OPTION

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The compiler fails with IGYRC3135-S when running with the
  LANGUAGE(JA) and MAP options in the "Data Division Map" section
  when a Pointer-32 item is present, for example in the
  SQL---PLIST when compiling with the SQL option.
  

Local fix

• Use the default LANGUAGE(EN) option.

  *                 be needed to output information to the       *
  *                 compiler listing include Nat-Edit, Nat-Num,  *
  *                 Nat-Float, Nat-Num-Edit, Nat-Group,          *
  *                 Nat-Grp-VarLen,                              *
  *                 Pointer-32, UTF-8, and UTF-8-Group.  Any     *
  *                 reference to data items that would require   *
  *                 these descriptions to be written to the      *
  *                 compiler listing will also result in an      *
  *                 ABEND.                                       *

  During the V63 development cycle, new compiler listing
  headings, titles or subtitles were added to the English version
  of the compiler source file where these are stored. This updated
  English source file was never retranslated for the Japanese
  language version. When LANGUAGE(JA), MAP, and SQL compiler
  options are in effect, the compiler attempts to access some of
  these newly added headings, titles or subtitles which do not
  exist in the array containing the Japanese versions and this
  causes the observed ABEND.  Reference the USERS AFFECTED
  section above for other cases where these data item
  descriptions missing from the Japanese version of the
  data item description table in the compiler will also cause an
  ABEND.
  

Problem conclusion

• For now, the English versions of these new headings, titles or
  subtitles have been added to the Japanese version of the
  compiler messages file. This will allow the compile to complete
  successfully. The headings, titles or subtitles that were newly
  added in V6.4 will appear in the compiler listing in English for
  now, until the English source file containing them can be
  retranslated for the next release of the compiler.
