APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Script error in mmcrfileset leads to enabling
    afmObjectSyncOpenFileson the RO mode fileset which is failed
    promptly as expected.
    

Local fix

  • Enable afmObjectAz/afmobjectpreferdir/afmevictrange
    separatelywithout enabling any ioFlags with them so that none of
    theioFlags2 are unintentionally enabled.
    

Problem summary

  • Script error in mmcrfileset leads to enabling
    afmObjectSyncOpenFileson the RO mode fileset which is failed
    promptly as expected.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This problem is fixed in 5.1.9.7

    Benefits of the solution:
    afmObjectAz should operate on ioFlags2 and not ioFlags.Also fix
    afmobjectpreferdir and afmevictrange which are taking ioFlagsand
    arriving at ioFlags2.
    
    Work Around:
    Enable afmObjectAz/afmobjectpreferdir/afmevictrange
    separatelywithout enabling any ioFlags with them so that none of
    theioFlags2 are unintentionally enabled.
    
    Problem trigger:
    Enabling afmObjectACL and afmObjectAZ flags together
    whilecreating the fileset.
