Prerequisites and co-requisites
Ensure that you have already installed version 14.0.0. This interim fix contains updates only for the MDM Inspector, MDM Web Reports and MDM Enterprise Viewer applications.
Extracting the fix
Extract the contents of the archive file 14.0.0.0-MDM-SAE-IF003.ZIP to a temporary location, such as temp/14.0.0.0-MDM-SAE-IF003.

- Navigate to IBM WebSphere Application Server console at https://domain.com:port/ibm/console.
- Go to Applications > Application Types > Enterprise Applications.
- Back up the existing Inspector, Web Reports, and Enterprise Viewer application instances: select them, click Export, and download the application EAR files.
- Extract each EAR file to find the corresponding WAR files: inspector.war, webreports.war and viewer.war.
- Back up the following properties files from each WAR file, as indicated:
- For webreports.war, back up webreports.war\WEB-INF\classes\webreports.properties.
- For inspector.war, back up inspector.war\WEB-INF\classes\inspector.properties and inspector.war\WEB-INF\classes\ForbiddenStrings.xml.
- For viewer.war, back up viewer.war\WEB-INF\classes\ContextManager.prop. - Download and extract the interim fix ZIP file to a new folder named "v14".
- Replace or add the backed up properties and XML files into the corresponding WAR files within the extracted v14 folder:
- For webreports.war, replace webreports.war\WEB-INF\classes\webreports.properties.
- For inspector.war, replace inspector.war\WEB-INF\classes\inspector.properties, inspector.war\WEB-INF\classes\ForbiddenStrings.xml.
- For viewer.war, replace viewer.war\WEB-INF\classes\ContextManager.prop. - Deploy the updated inspector.war, webreports.war and viewer.war files:
a) In Manage installed applications, select the application inspector-E001.
b) Click the Select checkbox and then click Update.
c) Choose Replace the entire application, then click on the WAR file (inspector.war) to upload it. Click Next.
d) Follow the prompts to complete the update process. Click Finish when done.
e) Review the application update ("Application inspector-E001 installed successfully.") by clicking the review link shown at the bottom.
f) Check Synchronize changes with Nodes and save your changes. Click OK.
g) Repeat steps (a) to (f) for both webreport-E001 and enterpriseviewer-E001. - Wait for the deployment status on the Enterprise Applications page to turn green before proceeding.
